All students also need items to use in case of an earthquake or other emergency. This Emergency kit would provide them with their own food, etc. If the kit is not used, your child can bring it to their next classroom or school.
Items to Include
*Use a gallon-sized Ziploc freezer bag for the kit.
- Enclose a picture and family emergency information on an index card
- (include on the card: date, student's name, teacher's name, home address, age, home phone, parents name, daytime phone, people to contact in case of emergency, and medical information)

1-2 cans of food (like chili, ravioli, etc.)

1-2 mini size boxes of cereal

Boxed juice or small bottle of water

Small box of crackers (“Handi” snacks)

1 chocolate bar (M&M or Hershey’s Kisses)

1 large “Hefty” type garbage sack (for clothing/weather protection)

A note of reassurance from you to your child that will provide him/her with comfort during this time.
Remember, all items need to be non-perishable.
