Tacoma Public Library has free resources for TPS students. When asked for their library card, they can enter their student number. To get to these Resources, go to the Tacoma Public Library website, click "Online Learning" towards the top of the web page and then K-12 Homework Center. By default, it goes to the Elementary pages. Below are descriptions of great tools to use at home.

  • HelpNow: (Grades 3-12) Live Homework Help, Skills Building and Writing Workshops.   Live tutors are available every day from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.
  • Miss Humblebee’s Academy: (PreK - 1) Fun and interactive online kindergarten-readiness learning for kids ages three to six.  Explore lessons in math, science, language and literacy and more! 
  • National Geographic Kids: (K-8) Explore science, nature, culture, archaeology and space with National Geographic Kids with access to the full run of the magazine 2009 to the present.
  • Teachables: (Found by clicking the "Parents and Educators" link on the left side) Printable activities from Scholastic for any subject: math, science, reading comprehension, STEM, writing and more.  Perfect for parents, childcare providers, and educators!
